Founded in 1989, this organization designs programs to motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math while building self-confidence, knowledge and life skills.  FIRST hosts games, challenges and competitions for children from ages 9 - 18.

Women's Technology Program from MIT

Massachusetts Institute of Technology offers a Women's Technology Program (WTP) which is a rigorous four-week summer academic and residential experience where female high school students explore engineering through hands-on classes, labs, and team-based projects in the summer after 11th grade.

Students can choose from Electrical Engineering and Computer Science  (EECS) or Mechanical Engineering (ME).
