NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing

The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing selects awardees based on their computing and IT aptitude, leadership ability, academic history, and plans for post-secondary education.  Competitions are held both locally and nationally.  Applications are accepted between September and October.  Winners will be notified in early December with award events take place around the country through May of the following year. L’Oreal USA’s For Girls in Science website is offering girls the chance to create their own 30-60 second video telling why they are drawn to a particular area of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).    Students must be between the ages of 13-18.  Check back here or sign up for L'Oreal's facebook and twitter accounts for information on next year's contest update.

"Making A Difference" for Student Teachers and Graduate Students - a $1,500 scholarship to students who are enrolled in the Student Teaching component of their education or a graduate program at an eligible Nassau or Suffolk County college or university. Applicants must be a member of NEFCU, submit an official sealed school transcript, and answer an essay question.
