The Center for Science Teaching & Learning has received a grant for $440,000 from the Toyota USA Foundation to promote manufacturing skills.  Working with the Long Island Forum for Technology (LIFT) and the Composite Prototyping Center, the CST&L will be offering a program for 100 Nassau County young adults aged 19-25 to obtain hands-on manufacturing training and job opportunities with several local companies having committed to hiring graduates.

The 2016 U.S. News & World Reports Best College rankings have been published and include a number of area schools.  The rankings are determined from a combination of over a dozen of academic excellence indicators and peer comparisons.  Schools being recognized include: Molloy, Stony Brook University, Farmingdale State College and Adelphi University.
