Are you a New York State resident? Are you interested in pursuing a STEM degree?  Worried about how you'll pay for your education?  The NYS STEM Incentive Program offers full tuition scholarships for SUNY and CUNY schools to the top 10% of students in each NY State high school.  Graduates must commint to work in a STEM related field in New York State for five years after graduation.

Siemens is again looking for innovative solutions from students in grades K – 12.  This time they are looking for students to create a replicable green solution to an environmental issue they find in their school or community.

Students need to pair up with an advisor who will register their team.  They can then begin work on their project.  All projects will go through a rigorous three-part review by a panel of environmental advocates and science educators with judging being based on each team’s research, analysis and whether or not the solutions can be replicated on a larger scale.

Prizes include more than $300,000 in scholarships, savings bonds, school grants and will vary according to grade level. Entries were due on March 4, 2014. Come back again next year for the next challenge.
